A five-day workshop on gender-integrated planning was organized for ICIMOD’s partners from 1 to 5 Oct 2018. The broad purpose of the workshop was to strengthen the gender expertise of ICIMOD’s partner organizations. This workshop is in line with the recommendation of the managerial meeting of the ICIMOD’s partners in May and ICIMOD’s Medium Term Action Plan (MTAP) IV strategy to ensure enhanced gender impacts through strengthening the gender expertise of ICIMOD partner organizations.
WOCAN facilitated the workshop with the specific aim to impart knowledge on gender analysis and planning methods. The objectives were to:
- Learn how to conduct gender analysis;
- Gain familiarity with key gender concepts;
- Understand how to use key gender analysis methods and tools for conducting a situational analysis;
- Learn how to integrate gender findings into goal setting, develop activities and inputs, and identify outcome indicators for monitoring and evaluation.
