WOCAN conducted this training workshop for OXFAM staff and the GRAISEA partners from Phase I and II from 15-17 May in Bangkok Thailand. The objective of the workshop was to enhance awareness of gender within the organizational context and to develop managerial familiarity with gender-integrated planning at the project level. The 35 participants (28 women and 7 men) had interactive sessions to build their skills on:
- Gender analysis of the organizations
- Familiarity with key gender concepts in the agriculture and seafood value chains, and the associated challenges and opportunities required for effective and appropriate planning;
- The use of key gender analysis methods and tools for conducting a situation analysis;
- How to integrate gender findings into goal setting, developing activities and inputs, and identification of outcome indicators for Monitoring and Evaluation.
