WOCAN conducted the gender analysis workshop for the for SEAFDEC Gender Working Group on 5-8 March in Bangkok, Thailand, with the support of the Regional Gender Facility Support Function in Asia at the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok, Thailand.A total of 15 participants (10 women and 5 men) from the gender working group, secretariat, training department and also staff from Indonesia, Loa PDR, Myanmar and the Philippines.The workshop provided the participants with knowledge and skills to apply gender analysis methods and tools in the fisheries sector and to gather gender-sensitive data.
The four-day workshop also included a field trip to visit the Bangpakong women conservation group.
