Jeannette Gurung attended the first ASEAN Climate Resilience Network (ASEAN-CRN) meeting from 14-16 Dec, 2015 in Bali. The meeting was organized by Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC), Thailand; Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development (IAARD), Ministry of Agriculture and ASEAN-German Program on Response to Climate Change in Agriculture and Forestry with support from GIZ. ASEAN- CRN was established in 2013 with support from GIZ through the ASEAN-German Programme on Response to Climate Change (GAP-CC) which supports ASEAN in improving selected framework conditions for sustainable agriculture and forestry in ASEAN Member States (AMS).
The objective of the two-days workshop was to develop ASEAN-CRN Work Plan for the next two years and to assess the progress of the implementation of the ASEAN Regional Guidelines for Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) Practices. Jeannette provided technical guidance for ASEAN-CRN members on how to incorporate gender issues into their project goals and activities for ensure effective project implementation.
