The meeting included providing information on biogas, silage production, and high value crop production, facilitated peer to peer learning among women farmers through sharing of successes, explored modalities of women farmers’ engagement with the County government and explored the existing markets for the farm products. Each group developed an action plan to incorporate the knowledge they gained in the meeting.
There were 25 participants (20 women & five men) from Gathara Mwihoko Women Group, Mukiri Tene Self Help Group, Midhill Self Help Group and Kinyahwe Self Help Group. The meeting was facilitated by Elijah Kimani, Deputy Director, Kennedy Bwire and Marlin Achoki of IEWM and David Maina from the Sustainable Agriculture Community Development Programmes (SACDEP) also attended the meetings.
