Kalpana Giri, REDD+ and Gender Expert and WOCAN Core Associate and Nisha Onta, Knowledge Management Coordinator, attended the Making change Happen: International Women’s Day celebration on 11 March in Bangkok, Thailand. Mona Mehta, Gender Equity Manager of OXFAM GB, presented stories of OXFAM’s program on women political leadership in Asia and facilitated the discussion among the participants on the how to strengthen women leaderships and how digital technology can help achieve the impact to scale. Kalpana shared her own experience of leading the Gender initiatives in USAID LEAF program and Nisha shared outcomes of the Women Leadership Circles in Agriculture and NRM (WLCAN) implemented in Nepal, Kenya and South Africa.
