Kanchan Lama (WOCAN Board Member), Cecile Njebet (Executive Director of REFACOF and WOCAN Core Associates), Abidah Setyowati (WOCAN Core Associate) and Gertrud Kenyangi (Director of SWAGEN and WOCAN Member) participated in the ‘Sustainable Forest Management: Designing the Vehicles for Securing the Means of Implementation’ workshop organized from 2-5 March in Kathmandu, Nepal. In collaboration with other members of United Nations Forum on Forests (UNFF) Women Major Group, the WOCAN representatives developed a plan of action to advocate women’s increasing representation and participation in decision-making processes in forestry sector. The objective of the meetings was to develop recommendations for the eleventh meeting of the UNFF 11 to be held in New York in May, 2015.
