Jeannette Gurung presented the W+ Standard and the pilot project in Nepal ‘Time Saving for Women Users of Biogas in Nepal’ during the Breakfast with Biruwa event organized by Biruwa Ventures and WOCAN on 21 January, in Kathmandu, Nepal. Breakfast at Biruwa is an informal networking and knowledge sharing event among Biruwa team members and invited guests. The participants (13 women and 3 men) represented financial institutions, women’s organizations and networks, social enterprise and NGOs. The discussion focused on the implementation of W+ projects, sale of the W+ units and effective mechanism to share benefits to women at the grass-roots level. All participants were excited to learn about the W+ Standard and the pilot project and eager to get involved with the W+ Standard.
