WOCAN Hosted the Sixth Women in Agriculture and NRM Meeting in Bangkok

On 11 Dec, WOCAN hosted the sixth Women in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management (WARM) in Bangkok. WARM is an informal gathering initiated by WOCAN to share, learn and build a network of individuals who are interested in issues related to Women in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management (with men warmly welcomed). The 15 participants (12 women and 3 men) represented UN Agencies, private sector, research institutes and NGO. The discussion focused on challenges of integrating gender in organizational plans/activities and all participants expressed the importance of an informal networking event such as WARM and a strong commitment to attend and support future WARM meetings. The next WARM is scheduled for February 2015.
