Igrew up in Maryland in the United States. I moved to Utah to attend Westminster College, where I studied Environmental Science and Biology. I am an avid biker, a novice gardener, and love outdoor activities. I hope to continue onto graduate school and focus on biodiversity and ecosystem services management. Working here will give me a more in-depth understanding of how gender and environmental issues are inter-related, providing me the tools and information to spread awareness and advocate change. I have never worked with a global organization, like WOCAN, before, and the opportunity to see how it all works and comes together is amazing.

I recently graduated from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah with a B.S. in Public Health. I am passionate about increasing food security in the US through urban farming and community education. I have been traveling around Thailand for the last month, exploring the country. My favorite parts have been taste testing various street foods in Bangkok and motorbiking around the southern islands. I came to WOCAN to learn about the agriculture and natural resource management policies that are being implemented around the world to empower women to become leaders and establish gender equality in their communities. I want to focus my professional career on developing a sustainable food system where everyone, no matter their income or background, has access to fresh, organic produce.
