IUCN Asia Regional Officehosted the Women in Agriculture and NRM (WARM) meeting on 25 September in Bangkok, Thailand. WARM is an informal gathering initiated by WOCAN to share, learn and build a network of individuals who are interested in issues related to Women in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management (WARM) (with men warmly welcomed). The participants represented South Pole Carbon, IUCN Mangroves for the Future Program,IUCN Asia Regional Officeand WOCAN. IUCN Mangroves for the Future Program discussed their new intitiative to establish gender advisory panel and WOCAN is one of the members of the Panel, they also shred their experience on private sector engatement. WOCAN announced the upcoming Regional dialogue on the inclusion of women in Landscape Management to be held in Chiang Mai, provided some information about the W+ Standard pilot project in Nepal. The next WARM is scheduled for November.
