Nisha Onta, Regional Coordinator for Asia, facilitated the gender session during theRegional Model Forest Network (RMFN) Asia regional meeting on 19 Nov in Siem Reap, Cambodia. During the 2018 regional meeting, it was agreed the RMFN-Asia should develop a gender equality policy/strategy. Therefore, the objective of this session was to confirm the necessity, required inputs and building blocks for the development of such a strategy and to develop an action plan. The meeting included RMFN members from Bhutan, Cambodia, India, the Philippines, and Thailand. The half-day session concluded with the list of priority activities to develop the gender equality policy and an M&E system to track progress.
