Jeannette Gurung attended the tenth meeting of the Board of the Green Climate Fund which was held from 6 to 9 July in Songdo, Republic of Korea. She joined Liane Schalatek of The Heinrich Boell Foundation and other civil society representatives to observe the Board’s discussions on projects and programs.The Board also discussed growing the Fund’s network of accredited entities, the partners through which the Fund’s resources will be channeled to undertake climate mitigation and adaptation action on the ground. The Board also elaborated on how the Fund will apply its financial instruments for maximizing climate action using the resources available at its disposal. The operations of the Fund have begun therefore the emphasis was on developing the Fund’s operational guidelines such as the monitoring and accountability framework for accredited entities.
