Jeannette Gurung participated in the Responsible Business Forum on Food and Agriculture held from 23-24 June in Hanoi, Vietnam. The forum explored innovative and collaborative approaches to improving agricultural productivity and environmental sustainability across key commodity value chains. The participants who represented businesses, government and NGOs discussed how to increase agricultural productivity, whilst improving rural livelihoods and reducing environmental impacts. Agricultural commodities addressed included – aquaculture, coffee, dairy, maize, rice and tea. Working groups in each sector developed recommendations on sustainable land use, equitable opportunity for small-holder farmers, increasing productivity and improving rural livelihoods.
