On the occasion of International Women’s Day, WOCAN hosted the Women in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management (WARM) meeting on 8 March in Bangkok. WARM is an informal gathering initiated by WOCAN to share, learn and build a network of individuals who are interested in issues related to Women in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management (with men warmly welcomed). The 15 participants (12 women and 2 men) represented UN Agencies, private sector, research institutes and NGO. The discussion focused on the importance of informal networking event such as WARM to share and exchange ideas especially for individuals working in the field of gender, agriculture and natural resource management. All participants expressed strong commitment to attend and support future WARM meetings.
