WOCAN members, Core Associates, donors and partners attended the WARM meeting to celebrate and reflect on the achievements of WOCAN on 29 Oct in Bangkok. Jeannette presented the highlights from the five year report and her ideas for WOCAN’s future direction.. Kalpana Giri, WOCAN Core Associate, reflected on how being involved with WOCAN influenced her career and empowered her. Haddy Sey, Senior Social Development Specialist, Climate Policy and Finance Department of World Bank, shared her excitement to be part of the WOCAN network. Maeve Nightingale from IUCN’s Mangroves for the Future Program thanked WOCAN for leadership and gender training that provided guidance for her to integrate gender in IUCN. Abidah Setyowati, WOCAN Core Associate, described how working with WOCAN encouraged her to pursue career focusing on gender.
